Java VM or Sun?

Ok well I had neither to start off with, new computer. So i downloaded Suns Version.
Needless to say it worked but i didnt like it at all. The applets came up with small writing,
my mouse started flickering, and all other programs did the same. I uninstalled it and have
downloaded VM from this site http://www.virtualmachine.tk/ , question is (after i download the updates)
will it work ok? and do i needed to download plugins etc?
