Can anyone tell my why one of my XP Pro machines has settings for Java and
the other one don't?

I need java for somethings I do but it does not exist on my new machine even
with MS updates.

Hi Vince,

It are the latest updates from Microsoft that removed Java from your
system - see http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/java/

You migh want to downoad the Java VM (Virtual Machine) from Sun
http://java.com/en/index.jsp

Kind regards

Thanks but let me make sure I understand this.

If I download and install Sun Java it will allow me to once again access the
java appelets at some websites that require java to be installed and does
work with IE?

Thats it.
