In order to use my online tutorial, I need to disable the JRE replacement for the java plug-in in my browser. Any clues on where to find the browsers setting on w2k?

I assume you mean you need to disable th Java Plug-in you got from Sun. Go to Start | Settings | Control Panel | double-click Java Plug-in | Browser | uncheck Microsoft Internet Explorer | Apply | OK. Then Start | Settings | Run | regsvr32 msjava.dll | OK | OK. Make sure your security in Microsoft Internet Explorer settings allow you to access the Applets you want. AND make sure you are not running AV and\or Firewalls during the tutorial.
