I seem to have been infected with the trojan: Java/Byte/Verify. My
anti-virus software keeps picking it up and saying it has healed the
infection but upon re-scanning it still shows up that it is still on my
computer! Please advise how to remove safely.

Thanks.

Go to the following URL. Follow the directions but specifically obtain Trend Sysclean.

Before you do the suggested scan...
Dump the contents of your IE cache -
Start --> settings --> control panel --> Internet options --> delete files

Dump the contents of your Sun Java cache -
Start --> settings --> control panel --> Java plug-in --> cache --> clear
