japanese text in subject

I can type Japanese text in body of messages using Outlook 2003, but can not
type Japanese text in the "TO" "CC" or "Subject" fields. What can I do?
 
Are you using the English version of Outlook? On English Windows?
It seems that the English version does not support multibyte text in any
header fields. I think the reason may be that the encoding cannot be
specified in these fields.

Check Outlook Help for "Japanese" -- there are a number of items that
talk about International options. But I'm not sure if any of these
apply to your case.
