Izymail

Not an Outlook specific question but it's using Outlook and IzyMail.
Wanting to be able to have my Hotmail and MSN accounts arrive in my Outlook
inbox, for years I've used Choicemail which, to my regret, stopped having
this option on their latest update advising me that they actually used an
add-on called IzyMail to accomplish this and directed me to their site.

Unfortunately, everything about it online appears to be geared to using only
one account and, as I mentioned, I have two. By any chance do any of you
use IzyMail and, if so, can/will you tell me if it can be configured to
handle multiple accounts?

Oh, to state the obvious, I can't use Izymail's support as they ONLY have
FAQ's.

A final thought...if someone doesn't use this program but knows of another
which imports web based accounts into the Outlook inbox--not a separate
set of folders as done by either setting it up via Outlook's add accounts or
using Outlook Connector--I'd sure appreciate the information on where to
find it.

Thanks,
Tim

the connector creates a set of folders for each acct - which the OP wanted
to avoid.

ChoiceMail uses challenge-response as their anti-spam scheme. They
like to hide that they use C-R by saying "It's a permission based spam
blocker that customizes itself to you." C-R is used by irresponsible
or ignorant e-mail users.

Gordon already mentioned using the Outlook Connector plug-in.
Requires Outlook 2003 or 2007. Mathews didn't mention WHICH version
of Outlook he is using.

But those of us with brains in our heads actually configure software BEFORE
using it and; thus, avoid either looking irresponsible by bouncing mail,
sending challenges or by making incredibly ill advised, completely rude--and
many would say downright stupid--posts on public forums.

No, they're completely foreign to me but I'll certainly check them out.
Thanks for the help.

So you configure C-R software to not use C-R. Since the draw of C-R
is to use C-R, disabling it pretty much obviates the point of the
software. If you go monitoring the pending list BEFORE sending
challenges then you obviate the point of C-R in its claim that you
won't see the spam. Hmm, install C-R software but not automatically
employ C-R, something akin to installing MathCAD but never using it,
installing PhotoShop but never using it, etc. You don't buy dynamite
to not use it.

Just a quick followup...the hotpop worked flawlessly on both my hotmail and
msn accounts. Thanks again for the tip.

Perhaps, if you actually ready my initial post, this wouldn't be so hard
for you to figure out. As you grow older, you're going to find that there
are many things in this world which have more than one use.

Frankly, I'm amazed that from my initial post and followup, you still
haven't figured this out. I didn't buy CM for its anti spam feature. I was
and am ONLY insterested in it's former webmail importing feature. Funny
that you want to pass yourself off as some sort of expert in this product
and yet seem to think it's previous version was strictly one dimensional.

Here's a quick review: the subject line SHOULD have been the first hint.
Izymail--the webmail importing feature of the previous version of CM. A
quick re-read of the post CLEARLY asks questions about importing webmail
into an Outlook inbox and says NOTHING about anti spam software or its use.

A house can, and often is, bought to be used as something other than a home.

A truck can, and often is, bought with no thought given to hauling anything.

If this stilll isn't clear, ask one of your teachers to explain it to
you...or, maybe, mommy or daddy might be of help.
