This newsgroup is dedicated to the Microsoft Access database product. The
Microsoft website is not all that clear and may have misdirected you.
The file (or shortcut) may be hidden behind other shortcuts, if your desktop
is as cluttered as mine is. In that case, try opening your My Documents
folder. Then click on the Up Arrow in the toolbar to navigate to your
desktop. Sort the list by clicking on the Name column. If the file was simply
hidden by other icons, you should be able to find it this way.
If you accidently deleted the file, you may be able to restore it from your
recycle bin, if you have not already emptied the recycle bin. Otherwise,
there is file recovery software available, but your chances of recovering the
file go down the more you use your PC.
