iTunes question when grouping Artists

Mr. Esteban

Disclaimer: I think iTunes is the anti-christ, but I love my iPod

I'm very curious to know why randomly iTunes will make 2 groups of the
same artist. Once I sort by artist on my iPod or iTunes, there are
clearly 2 groups of the same artist name. Why can't iTunes just
consolidate them together under one artist group? Seems to be the smart
thing to me...

Thanks for any help,

Mr. Esteban

There is most likely an extra space in one of the names. Select all of the
files, and then change the name in the Get Info panel.

You have to make sure they are exactly the same - ie. same caps, same
spelling.

eg. Green Day
and green day

will not group.

hope this helps
