iTunes problems

When I try to convert CD files to AAC format, it may only convert 30 seconds,
or sometimes the file may come up damaged (an example, today i tried to put
my brand new "Iron Maiden a real live one" cd songs into iTunes, The Number
Of The Beast came out good, but Sanctuary came out damaged, in the place
where the time is supposed to be, it reads 789:76 or something similar. Then
Run to The Hills only converted 30 seconds). Also, some tracks come in
correctly but most dont. I use a windows XP. Everytime I try to get an update
it cancels. It might be because there are to many songs on it. This problem
only started a month ago. What should I do?

help me!

If you have not made any major changes, additions or deletions in the
past month, try a system restore. You can go back up to 90 days.
Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.
