iTunes 7.5 upgrade

I have upgraded iTunes to 7.5, I am now unable to play half my music, it also disabled my C-Media Ac97, Audio Device which I have now downloaded,this stopped all my music playing, it works well with the songs I am able to play but the rest of my songs gives me a box which says <The song "title" could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it> But I still can't find it.
This seems to be a common problem with the 7.5 iTunes upgrade but so far I've been unable to solve it
Can anyone help me please.

Depending on your OS.... Roll back to the previous version of iTunes using System Restore.
The Tunes are probably gone.

I hate how volatile iTunes makes your Music collection vulnerable!
