its saying no sound device detected??

the sound a few weeks ago was fine on my laptop then all of a sudden all the
microsoft packages disappeared and now i can not listen to music or anything
on it does anyone know how i can solve this problam please?

If you open Device Manager (Start > Control Panel [classic] > System >
Hardware > Device Manager) is any type of sound card listed? If so has
Windows flagged the driver as not working?
