i have windows 2000 pro . i set it up not to type
username and passord so it will automatically log on to
windows without asking or typing in password... i eeven
have tweakui and set the logon not to type password..

why is it asking for a passwoird when reboot?
i figured id try my ISP password and luckily it worked so
i could boot in my windows.. why is it asking for a
password and why is it conflicting with my ISP password?

it shouldnt ask for any password, it was working fine but
now it screwed up.

how can i get back to not typing a password and user name

thanks

one more thing i unchecked the box for users must enter a
user name and password to use this computer and it still
asks for my password but i never added a password and for
some reason its using my ISP password..

It sounds like it is setup on a domain which will require a password. If the
computer is at home change it to a workgroup.

in the network identification properties the dot was in
the workgroup selection and workgroup was typed in the
space but the ok button wouldnt light up at the bottom and
NOT the Domain

Are you certain it is asking for a network logon and not
just trying to connect to a dial-up ISP when windows boots?

If your ISP password is what gets you past the window, it
doesn't seem to me that it's a Windows logon that is
required, but something else is trying a dial-on-demand
sort of function.
