I have removed Programs with Add/Remove but there is still checkable items from these programs left in MSCONFIG. Why is this and how do I remove these items.

Thanks for the repl
There is a file/program at 148 on the right side. What is this? I don't like opening and installing items that I don't know their purpose. Why didn't the items in msconfig get removed with the programs that I removed

You can go to Kelly's site at

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.ht

and scroll down to line 148, right column

Good luc

Hi Jimmy,

It's a vbs script, like it says in the site. It will change the
registry to eliminate the unwanted entries. You can open it with
notepad and see what it has.

As for why the entries did not get removed, it is an XP bug.

Good luck
