Italian Dictionary for Proofing

I have Window XP Professional with Word 2002. The office program has
dictionaries for French and Spanish, but not for Italian . . . which is what
I need right now. How do I download an Italian dictionary and grammar tools
for checking my Word Documents that I am writing in Italian?

I have tried changing the language settings for proofing and have also
checked Office online help for language downloads. As far as I can get is to
have Word recognize the text as Italian and NOT mark it as incorrect. It is
NOT however actually proofing the text. There is a download for an upgrade
to the Italian dictionary for Office XP, but this is only for the Italian
Version of Office. Since I have the US Version, it does not appear to work.

Do I need a full version of Italian Office XP??? Can't I just download a
proofing dictionary??

Does anybody know how I can download the Italian dictionary?
Thanks,
Greg

On the normal North American version of Office, you normally will get the
French, Spanish and English dictionaries. I guess you may have to buy the
version in Italy (???)

BTW: I would like to know how we can do this also.

The key is to know that MS calls this a "Proofing Tool." Yves is correct that
Italian proofing tools are not included with the English-language version of
Office. http://tinyurl.com/ypkn is for the Office 2003 set -- which "may not
work" with Word 2002. At a list of $79.95, you may not want to chance it.
Google for "Microsoft Office Proofing Tools 2002"
