It started tonight

I have nothing in my outbox (outlook 2003 on Vista)

All worked ok until tonight when outlook is trying to send a message...it
says sending 1 of 1 and then brings up an error message,,,
Task 'Adrian - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the
server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server
administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: 553
From: address not verified; see

But there is no message to send

WHATS HAPPENING ???

Sorry...forgot to add that it is sending and receiving other messages whilst
this is happening......how do I get rid of the phantom outgoing message.

Possibly an undeliverable read recipt. See this:
