Issues with video card

I have the same problem that was posted a few weeks ago
with the warcraft3 frozen throne, that the game crashes
to windows and sometimes the computer restarts.

I tried all the solutions posted in that link, update
drivers for the video card, sound card, test ram, etc.

Every time I try to run Windows Update it freezes around
the 66% and it must be reseted.

Sometimes the serching for updates finish so I can update
everything except the video card, it's an MSI FX5200 VTD
with 128 Mb.

I can update the video card from the detonator driver
provided by nvidia or the driver provided by MSI and
reports no problem. Even I run dxdiag and it shows no
issues with the video card or the sound card, but I still
have the problem.

It's really annoying.

P4 2.6 800 FSB
Abit IS-7 Mother board
1 Gb RAM
MSI FX5200 VTD 128
HD 80 Gb 7200 rpm

Sorry this is going to be an incomplete answer but I can't remember the
specific fix myself. Maybe someone reading this will and post it.

I had issues very similar with games crashing out and sometimes the system
rebooting. After doing pretty much everything, I read a forum post on an AMD
forum. You might want to check the power supplied to the graphics card.
Something about 1.5 or 3 amps maybe. I know that my graphics card didn't
like 1.5 and had to step it up to 3. So check your motherboard BIOS. If
there is an update try it. Also, check if you can change the AGP power as
well and tweak around with that.
