Issue with Wireless Subsystem at Boot up

A

Al_T

When my PC boots up I see a dialogue box prior to initiation of XP (Home)
that says that the Wireless subsystem needs to perform an authentication
check. I am prompted to enter my login name and password. This then takes
about 10 seconds to run and then XP starts.

This has only recently started happening (today) but seems to occur at every
boot up.

How can I resolve this?

I would guess that the Properties of the connection are including the
protocol for "Client for Microsoft Network". How you would configure a
passwordless connection would depend on your needs. If the ID/pass on the
network are the same as the ID/pass for windows logon, it should become
transparent. (Different connection are going to have different dialogs, but
the checkbox to use the same ID/pass should be in there for you.)
