Issue with the Ask & Ref Fields

Hello all,

I am currently using MS Word 2002 to build a template. I have inserted the
Ask field to auto populate multiple areas of the document (i.e. Document
Title). The font size of the fields being populated by the ref field are
different and so when a user enters a title longer than "Job Aid Title", Word
will make the rest of the fonts the larger size. I have inserted the second
ref field on the document header and this is where the problem is seen. The
beginning of the title is in Arial 12 but the rest will show up with Arial 26.

Please help,

TC

I figured it out. I needed to add the /* charformat expression to the ref
field locations where the font was to be a different size.
thanks,

Your series of articles are not at all helpful if you don't know how to code.
For example, in your Please Fill Out This Form (part 2, you write as a step:
5 Write your code in the VBE
I have NO CLUE how to writer code, and did not at all understand your
verbiage about what to do.
How about explaining this WITHOUT using references to code for us
non-programmers?

Take a look at the Ask and Fill-In field tutorial at
http://addbalance.com/word/download.htm. You may also want to look at what
Word calls an "online form." Check this in help. For more about online
forms, follow the links at

Chapman's series of articles. You may also want to look at

Hope this helps,
