Issue with replication

Hello All,
I am curious to know if it is possible to change replication partners
from AD Sites and Domains. I am having issues with our Network
Administrator opening RPC for certain connection. He has opened two out
of the five DCs in our environment. I would like to create partners for
the other three to replicate from the two dc that have port 135 open
(inbound and outbound). When I tried to do this it (in AD sites and
domains) it tell me that the naming context is incorrect or does not
replicate from specified server. I would like to configure the three
servers that do not have a open ports for each other to recieve all
replication info from the the other two instead of them looking at each
other for replication info. BTW, the other three servers are able to
communicate to the two main servers via RPC.
This is w2k3 environment with xp clients.
TIA,
Altria

Yes you can.

If we're talking intersite replication, the preferred way of doing this
would be to make the two machines that have firewall access preferred
bridgehead servers. A site link is always a good idea too.

If these are all within a site, or you don't want to specify bridgeheads,
you can create manual connection objects between DCs. You have two choices:
modify the existing <automatically created> ones or create new links and
delete the automatic ones. When you create or modify links, a bit is set
that tells the KCC to leave it alone. Creating manual links will allow you
to force replication topology.

You do all this using dssite.msc.
