Issue with Formatting

I have saved the data in a date format and changed the fonts/colors of other
data in excel. It will save for a while, but the next day I find that the
dates have reverted back to random numbers and it removes all of the
fonts/colors and other formatting I've done to the file. I've tried
everything and cannot figure out why it is doing this. It does not do this on
other files of the same reports, just this one. Can anyone help?

Your data is not in a pivot table by any chance?

I have found Pivot tables have a unique way of formatting data.

I have exactly the same problem in excel 2003. My data is only a basic table
with different colors and a graph in another worksheet (so, it is not a pivot
table). Yesterday i finished one report, and when i saved it and opened it,
the formats and colors were changed. And it is because excel opens with less
colors, I dont know why, because If i go to colors, I have less than the
standard.
But the strange thing, is that yesterday i sent it to another computer and
it was the same problem, different colors (so the graph..disaster), and today
i open the same file and the colors has been changed and are correct.
I thought that it was because I copied a worksheet from another workbook,
(and i thought that maybe when you do this and save, that happens) But that
is not the reason. Anybody knows which can be the reason?
Because it is so annoying when i finish one report and i send it, and after
i realize that the colors are changed. Thanks
