iso or nrg

I'm using a utility called ultraiso and when trying to rip some data
cds to iso, it says "Multi-track information will be lost if using
standard iso format". I then rip it with nrg and rips ok. Can anyone
explain what this means? if nrg just as much of widely used standard?
there are others I could use namely:

Alcohol (MDF/MDS)
BIN (BIN/CUE)
CloneCD (IMG/CCD/SUB)

Would any of these be a better "standard" to rip to?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks. Looks like a great program except that the only way to test if
it works on the entire CD is to buy it. It has a 300M limit otherwise.
Limiting the size of the CD for evaluation is not very smart. Doesn't
really give you the opportunity fully test it.

I'm still messing around with it and so far, looks better than UltraISO.

I'd send them a email then and suggest they set up an online product
activation scheme which allows you to use the product on a single pc for
30 days and after that it stops working unless you activate it in
advance.
