ISA2000 setup

Hi,

I have exam 70-227 and I tried to setup a testing environment, but it looks
like I failed. I installed ISA(trial) on W2K_SP4 server (trial).
My intention is to setup ISA server as gateway between two local networks.
192.168.2.0/24 should be my local network and 192.168.1.0/24 "internet"
I have two NIC cards with next setttings:

NIC1: 192.168.1.230/24 gw 192.168.1.254 (real gateway)
NIC2: 192.168.2.1/24 no gateway

I guess I did something wrong with LAT configuration but I am not sure how
to correct my problem.
Before I installed ISA I was able to communicate with all hosts around me on
both sides. Now I cannot ping anybody?!
Do I have to setup ISA to be "real" gateway to internet or I can play this
way?

Help!

ISA is a firewall [unless installed in cache mode] and is not meant to be a
real "router" between networks. Normally the LAT would only contain the IP
network of the internal network which is 192.168.2.1/24 in your case and
everything else would be considered untrusted. You also have to configure
access rules to allow traffic in or out of the network. I believe by default
it will block all traffic to and from untrusted networks, that is how ISA
2004 works. --- Steve
