Windows 2000 SBS. I add a new packet filter, start/stop Firewall & Web Proxy,
but there is no change in what is filtered/unfiltered.

Hi Brian,

microsoft.public.backoffice.smallbiz2000 is especially for SBS 2000. Have
you run ICW and how many nics in your server? What kind of packet filter?

I ran ICW once some time ago. I have one LAN NIC and one WAN NIC in the server.

All the current filters work. However, when I add a new filter, whether a
block or an allow, nothing changes in what is filtered.

Additional note: there are several filters that I have been unable to get to
work. For example, I have enabled both 8080 (for outgoing access to remote
routers) & 8081 (incoming access to Symantec Mail Security), but cannot get
through either one.

Hi Brian,

Default you don't have to enable outgoing packets, certainly not for port
8080. Rerun ICW, enable the Firewall and change something, so it will put
back ISA to its defaults.
Then see how it goes.
