I'm not sure it will work with XP completely.
But if it doesnt work, you can use the compatible mode.

Yes. Windows XP is an NT operating sytem. For future reference, Windows XP is basically Windows 2000 plus. If it runs under 2000, it will almost certainly run under Windows XP.

Truly depends on the application. Most will work fine. Some will not.

What app?

Hi Karl,

I suppose it was a bit silly of me not to put the link to refer to what I'm
talking about. I want to see if this excellent looking little program that
someone recommended to me would work on xp.

I will try it and see.

Thanks

Hope your sitting comfortably relaxing to the crooning tunes of John Denver.

I'd bet it will work. The last update appears to have been in 2001, but this is only using character codes and there have not been many significant system changes in that area.

If it does NOT work, let us know.

Thanks Carl I'm sure your right.

NT 3.1
NT 3.5
NT 4.0
NT 5.0 (aka Windows 2000)
NT 5.1 (aka Windows XP)
[and I think]
NT5.2 (aka Windows 2003)

Generally speaking XP supports all windows versions but for version 1. (and for Win 2 it tells you you computer will be destroyed but lets you run it anyway)

You may want to have your system backed up in case for some reason there are
problems that come as an attempt at installing it. However, if it works for
Windows 2000 I think it should work too. A poster has already put out the
NT line. Here is a partial 9x line. <smile>

Windows 3.1
Windows 3.11
Windows 95
Windows 95 OSR2
Windows 98
Windows 98SE <great 9x version in my opinion>
Windows ME <avoid this operating system at all costs in my opinion>

Yes. XP is the latest version of NT (5.1)
