Hello jamesfemphilly,

I don't use NIS, Other than that, I'm about out of opinios, but I wºuld
recommend you use the Search For: box, and enter (in this case I use) NIS to
get the lates news or advance in eªch NG. You can use any other combination
of word (s) like Norton or Symantec etc. etc.

Yes, I think you DO need Windows Defender next to Norton Internet Security
2005, as in my case. WD keeps a good eye on software that you are installing
and on changes in your registry. I've also noticed when playing clips with
Mediaplayer10 and Realplayer (Only on known sites, like apple quicktime
trailers and Homepage of Mediaplayer10) WD warns me of attempted changes in
my firewall, but NIS2005 does NOT warn me! I don't know if WD is doing its
job right in this case, but appearently is is doing and checking something!
I've only had, and still have, GOOD experiences with (former MSAS) WD, no
problems, only very little bugs, like scheduling did not work in the AM hours
on a Dutch PC but that has been corrected by MS, NO problems with
systemrestorepoints & scans and whatever! I'm very happy with WD and is does
not conflict with NIS2005. Jan vdn Eeden - The Netherlands.
