Is this possible: ATA133 hd in older ATA66 system?

I have an older but BNIB Maxtor Ultra ATA/133 40GB hd that I was thinking of
throwing in my even older (1998) Gateway system, which uses an ATA/66
controller. Will this work?

Thanks for any guidance on this...

It'll see it most likely. It may only see it as 32gb, though. It may
even not work at all. Some drives have a jumper to set the size to
32gb, if you have a problem use the jumper.
