Is this from Microsoft Anti-Spyware Program?

I received a pop-up notice with the red/green/blue/yellow shield saying
Security Center - Help Protect your PC. [I wish I could just post the
screenshot...:( ]

It reads:
Attention. Security Center has detected spyware on your PC sending private
information and documents to remote computer. One of the processes (Win 32
res.exe) has just sent this information:

IP Address: (here it gives numbers)
Browser: Mozella 4.0 compatible (There is more here) In fact I am using IE
Computer OS: Windows XP
Full PC Control: Gained
Sent information: Approximately 17 megabytes

Current security software is unable to stop this type of spyware.
It tells me that in order to clean up and prevent this type of spyware is
should download one of the following:

WinAntiVirusPro 2006 and it has a chart that extolls the various features of
each software.

My guess is that this is a well-concealed advertisement. Am I correct? I
have run my Microsoft beta software and that says I am all right...

Thanks.

Hi Mary;

Try:
Print screen program

Read:

Try:
Pop up blockers:
http://toolbar.msn.com

Block Pop-up Windows with Internet Explorer
Prevent most pop-up windows from appearing over pages you want to view while
you’re using the Internet.

This is an ad generated by spyware, for a spyware product. You are
absolutely correct.

I would try other reputable antispyware programs to see whether they can
detect any in-place issues on your system.
