Is there such a demo/tele-working software?

Hi all,

My father does not know too much of computer... and he is on the other side
of the earth.

I often have to teach him how to use computer/software remotely... over the
international phone calls...

It was very hard and very low efficient. My mom is even more remote.

The remote assistance or remote desktop control do not work very well here
because of the low bandwidth Internet connection... they are very slow...

I often wish there is such a software:

I record everything I do on my PC, and then I send it to my father in email,
then it plays back and executes on my father's PC...

For example, I want to teach my father how to use WinRAR to compress and
decompress files.

The easiest way should be: I do this once on my PC and record it and then my
father and mom can watch how this is done on their computers...

v3 is fantastic - you could make AVI, Flash, WMV or Quicktime MOV files to
send or put on the web for them to view.
v2 - which you can still find - is good - but I have only gotten the AVIs to
work well with that version.

What I have used for my sister is HTML format email.
I explain what I am going to do and paste an image of the action into the
body of the email {Alt-Print Screen and then paste into the email}.
Then I proceed step by step showing an image of the open window at each
step.

If bandwidth is a problem, making them an instructional CD
or DVD might be a better idea in the long run. Also, you
can find a lot of help in the FAQs from various ISPs and
software sites. You might send your "students" a list of
links to useful sites, such as...

I second this (version 3). It is expensive, but if you are in education you
can get it half price.

Hi all thanks a lot for your help! What I meant is not only recording video,
but also record the macro and then playback/execute the macro on my father's
PC...

There are many macro recording software but none of them are intelligent
enough...

Any recommendations?

I wouldn't suggest that, actually - too many variables.
You could use AutoIt if you desire - write a script/macro with that..
Pretty powerful for automation.
