HP PSC 2210 All-in-one printer/fax/scanner/copier... desktop
inkjet... Version? C8654A.
And I've always LOVEd this machine.
The carriage assembly that slides left and right with the ink
cartridges stopped moving. I disassembled the printer... found the 2
plastic parts behind the ink cartridges, that slide on the round steel
bar. Those 2 plastic parts are held together by 2 Very Small rubber
parts. Those 2 tiny rubber parts broke. I contacted HP, and various
local printer repair shops... cannot get those 2 tiny rubber parts
('cause HP would prefer that I buy a new printer, rather than fix this
one). So, I glued them back together with the 2 plastic parts... re-
assembled the printer... seems like it should work... it turns
on... it makes noises... the carriage assembly slides left and
right... then it Beeps a few times and the display reads... "Open
door, Clear carriage jam, and then press Enter".
Any clues?
Sure, I can disassemble it again.
What should I be looking for in that area?
Was I supposed to connect that assembly to the belt in EXACTLY the
same spot that it was originally connected?
Thanks very much, people.
