Is there an easy way to convert word documents into pdf files?

I want to post forms on my medical office website in pdf format so patients
may download them, fill them out by hand, and bring them to their
appointments. They don't need to fill them in eletronically. I have created
the documents using Word 2003 and want to know if there's an easy way , or at
least cost effective way, to convert them to pdf format so all users may
access the forms.
Thanks!

You are going to run into different rules because you are looking for
something for a business solution. I assume you have an IT person who either
works for your practice's business office or you have someone you can call.
Start there. He/she can help you get the proper software and licenses.

PrimoPDF will convert anything printable including Word documents to PDF for
free.

I have read the licence agreement which is the usual legal gibberish, but it
appears to concern distributing the program not PDF format documents. PDF is
in any case an Adobe format.

If this does turn out to be an issue, SnagIt 8 will do the same job and
there is a trial version available that does not appear to be limited. In
any case SnagIt is so much more useful all round that I suspect the OP would
buy it.

I found the following:

PrimoPDF license allows it to be installed and used within a corporation if
the individual users are installing the utility. There is also no
restrictions on the use of the resultant PDF.

If however the intend is for the corporation to perform a mass distribution
within the organization, we have the Enterprise version of PrimoPDF that
must be purchases (it comes with the MSI).

It does appear that employees can use at work. I thought there was more to
it than that.
