Is there a way to slant text or place it at an angle?

I would like to place text at an angle (approximately 45*). Does anyone know
if this is possible in Word and how to do it if so?

Depending on exactly what you want, you can do that using WordArt (click the
WordArt tool on Word's Drawing toolbar).
