I have a document that was created in Word 2003 and has a password on it to
Edit it. We have upgraded to Office 2007 and would like to get rid of this
password and I am stuck on how to remove this password

Open the document (supplying the password to do that). Click Office button >
Save As and choose whether to save in the Word 97-2003 format or the Word
2007 format.

In the Save As dialog, click the Tools button in the bottom left corner and
choose General Options. In the dialog that appears, delete everything from
the two password boxes and click OK. Finish saving (as the old file name or
a new one).
