Is there a way to insert custom page numbers (ie: I-1, I-2)?

I have multiple appendicies in my document, and wish to use a page numbering
system incorporating a Roman numeral to represent each appendix, and then a
regular number to represent which page of the appendix it is. I have found
one way of making it work, placing a 'I-' in front of the { PAGE } field, but
these page numbers are not reflected in the Table of Contents.
Is there any way for me to do this so that I can have my numbering system
and a Table of Contents which reflects it?

You must use autonumbering to apply roman numerals to your appendix headings
(which must use one of the built-in heading styles) and then use the
"Include chapter number" check box in the Format Page Number dialog. For
more, see these articles:

how can I do this?
