There are a number of predefined footers in Excel, ie: page 1 of... The
footer I am specifically wanting to delete is: Confidential. There must be
a way, but I haven't found it yet. Please advise.

No way to delete the pre-defined "Confidential".

Just curious......why would you want to delete that particular footer?

I don't think it's possible. Watch someone else prove me wrong (I
hope so). :)

In the military, putting confidential in the footer section means something
other than your typical confidential. One of our users used this standard
footer and it's causing a security inquery. So, simply advising people not
to use it doesn't alway's work.

Thank you for the feedback.

Curiosity problem now solved.

Using VBA code you may be able to prevent printing if the "Confidential" shows
up in a footer or header.
