Is there a size limitation to powerpoint presentations?

My presentation is 1.5g and it's all pictures. I have it set to loop an
three second interval display. There are four hundred pictures in the
powerpoint. When I attempt to start it the screen is black with the
directional arrows at the bottom.

That's kinda big. ;-) If you waited long enough, maybe it runs? Fire up the
Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) and see what's using your CPU. But anyway, see

The quick version:
Insert, don't paste.
Compress the pictures.
Turn off Fast Saves.
