Is there a "Send and File" option in Outlook?

Hi,

I was a Lotus Notes user in the past and Notes has a nifty feature to allow
me to "Send and File" my outgoing emails to appropriate folders. This is nice
time-saving feature, especially when I have to deal with lots of contacts and
I can file my replies immediately in the right folders.

I have looked in Outlook options but not seen it.

I'm no expert, but I think you could do this with Outlook's Rules (under
Tools).
It's so straighforward even I can use them!

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the rules didn't do what I wanted. The
rules are too rigid. I needed the abitlity to have a dialog window pop up and
allow me to pick the right folder to file.

I browsed the forum and noticed that there were two other posts asking the
same thing. Sue Mosher was gracious enough to answer those posts and pointed
people to her VBA code. I tried to follow her direction in the code but I am
not a VBA coder so of course, I couldn't get the code to work.

Maybe MS itself should consider making this request a permanent feature in
the upcoming release.... Another wishful thinking...
