is there a drag and drop feature with front page 2003?

Trying to build two simple sites for two departments, however, front page
2003 is being a pain. It won't convert the site from power point properly
either. I remember when font page used to be drag and drop, what happened to
that feature? (e-mail address removed)

You don't want drag and drop. HTML is really a markup language, so
essentially the code just describes the content. It's not a layout language,
which is used for doing very specific layouts, like graphics illustration.
There is something called CSS Positioning, which attempts to do this. You
can enable this in FrontPage but it's better not to as it's very difficult
to get a site to look exactly as you want, especially in different browsers.
You can also use the drawing tool, but this realy doesn't work in other
browsers. Bottom line, FP does have drag and drop capabilities, but they're
turned off by default because the mechanisms used are very difficult to get
right and some only work in IE (like the word art since the Vector Markup
Language that they're based upon never got worked into them).

When working with PowerPoint or similar applications it's always best to use
their save functionality as the converters to save to HTMl are built into
their apps whereas there are extra steps when trying to convert from within
FrontPage.
