Is there a clever way to get all account folders to expand at star

Is there a way to have all personal 'Mail' folders auto expand at start-up
in MS Outlook 2003, one is a a POP account the other two are IMAP (AOL)
accounts.

Is there some registry edit to do this, if so what is the procedure, if not,
is there a third party utility that can do the job, something small, and even
better freeware if pos.

I've looked all over the net and found know info to help, the reason why i
would like this to happen, is when mail arrives to either of the IMAP
accounts the folders show no sign that anything is in them until i expand
them.

If, as it seems when reading similar post that request this, with no way to
acheve the function, how can i make any folder appear in bold if it recieves
it's own new mail, is there a way of doing this, clear directions would be
great if this is a possibility.

I'm running WinXP Home edition SP2 fully up-to-date.

Any help, or advise would be great

Not that I am aware of - only the main Outlook folders are expanded, not
secondary accounts and not IMAP accounts either.

Thanks Milly
I thought there's always some way to get any software to be adapted through
the registry, i thought i read somwhere that there was a regedit to get
Outlook Express to do this, surely there's something that can be done, even
showing the main account folder (the closed folder) in bold would help, then
atleast you'd know theres mail in that account to be looked at.

Many things are configurable through the registry, but only if the
programmers included the registry keys in the application. You can't
customize an application in ways the writers didn't include.

Maybe there is, but if there is, it has nothing to do with Outlook because
they're not the same application and if there is, it's because OE's writers
put it in the code.

"Surely"? You can only make a program do something if the authors included
the ability. Can your automobile sprout wings? Of course not, because the
builders didn't include that particular feature (although there are
automobiles that can fly or travel on water. See
http://www.volanteaircraft.com/index.htm and http://www.amphicar.com/)
then atleast you'd know theres mail in
that account to be looked at.

Do not confuse mail folders and accounts. They're not the same thing. Any
folder will be bold when it contains unread items, but only non-IMAP,
non-HTTP PST folder trees can stay open between subsequent Outlook
invocations..
