Is the trial version of BCM 2007 locked to prevent backups?

I've entered data into the trial version of Business Contact Manager (version
3.00.6402.00) and while doing a routine back up (a duplicate, actually) of my
hard drive's data onto an external Maxtor hard drive I noticed that the BCM
data folders didn't duplicate. Is this the trial version's way of gently
letting me know I should hurry up and buy the full program, or is it a
problem with BCM itself, and if so, got a solution?

How are you doing a backup? If you are copying the data folder, the
bcm database may not get copied because sqlserver.exe has the file
locked. Trying stopping that service while you do you backup your
disk.

You could try backing up the database in bcm, and then copying that
file to your backup drive.

I believe when the trial period expires BCM will only read from the
database and won't save changes. I haven't heard of any trial related
features that would keep a database file from being copied.

Thank you very much Luther, much appreciated. I'll try both solutions. Very
cool program, and this has been the only glitch I've encountered while
testing it.
