I was wondering if anybody knew if the bliss wallpaper
(the green meadow etc.)in XP is copyrighted.

By default, you should assume a work is copyrighted unless it explicitly
states it isn't. And it's doubtful MS would have somehow missed copyrighting
one of their backgrounds.

If you read the Windows XP EULA it's covered under the blanket copyright
statment there.
