When trying to boot up my PC (running Win XP Home) this
morning I got as far as the stage where I was asked if I
wanted to boot from CD.
Then, nothing, a black, empty screen staring at me.
I tried to press F8 to boot in Safe Mode, same result.
I tried to boot from CD, same again.
My Hard Disk Drive light didn't come on, the lights on my
USB hub didn't come on, all I noticed was the fan spinning.
Has my HDD had it ?
Is there a way of making the machine spring back to life,
and, if the worst comes to the worst, would there be a way
of retrieving some of the data from my HDD ?
Please help!!
