I use a stand-alone computer. Connect to the internet via DSL modem/router.
Protected by Windows XP SP2 firewall configured with "No Exceptions" and
"Don't allow Exceptions" selected. Is it necessary and/or advisable to
enable "TCP/IP filtering for all adapters?"

Hi
The general Internet TCP/IP "filtering" is already done by the Router and
the Firewall. So unless you have something very specific on your mind, leave
the TCP/IP filtering in the TCP/IP advance properties as is.

Jack, thank you for the quick reply. No, I have nothing specific in
mind...just wondering as I always do when it comes to internet security.
I'll leave things as are, thank you again, John
