Is S-ATA 2 Compatible With S-ATA 1 ?

I was wondering are S-ATA 2 hard drives compatible with S-ATA 1 motherboards?

I was wondering this because I was looking for a S-ATA 1 drive on overclockers and it was hard than I though, they were all S-ATA 2 : / .

It should tell you if it is backward compatable ... look on their website for the HD
