Can 'Network bridge' potentially cause problems?
Thanks

Yes. Some network adapters don't work properly in a bridge. If you
don't need the Network Bridge, right-click and delete it. If you need
the Network Bridge and it isn't working, see this Microsoft Knowledge
Base article:

I do support at a College where we configure student's laptops for Wi-Fi
access, and I've noticed many different XP laptops have their connections
Bridged by default, and they will not get internet access without removing
them from the bridge first. This is true for both the Wireless and LAN
Network connections. Why is this? And is there a way to make it work with
the bridge?

Thanks,

Tony

Thanks--this is great! BUT--shouldn't the KB article be expanded with this
info. And explain that it applies to MANY MANY more devices than mentioned?

In appreciation.

Tony
