It is IMPOSSIBLE...............
When you turn off the power, the temporary memories are gone.
Absolutely impossible.
It is really a big joke.

As far as I know, not possible with a memory stick. As far as know, all
memory stick readers install as USB devices and require Windows to load the
drivers.

However, it is possible with USB mini disks {pen drives and other names}
which install as floppy drives which your computer can recognize as a boot
device.

The key here is can your computer recognize device as a boot device and does
your device have sufficient capacity for the operating system you want to
use. You can use these devices for small operating systems such as DOS {not
just MS-DOS}. Try www.langa.com and look at the newsletter for 2004-08-19
and other recent newsletter.

Do not expect to load Windows from such a device. Depending on what you
want you may be able to accomplish your needs.

WRONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Memory Sticks will not lose memory when power is pff!
Where did you learn computer systems?? J.C. Penneys??
Get your information straight before you open your ignorant mouth!

I think that there is some confusion of terminology here. For
instance, my computer contains two 512MB 'memory sticks'. However I
also have a USB External Memory Device that I plug into a USB port to
transfer programs and data around.

Cheers,

Cliff
