the problem:

1. I published a form the public folders (not to the organization form
library)
2. I open the form from the public folder -->action -->new form
3. I sent the form to user B
4. user B opened the form
5. but User B could NOT FORWARD the form the error is "the form you selected
could not be displayed"

the exchange is exchange 2000 outlook version is 2003

I can NOT publish the form to the organization library (so please dont
suggest that)
in the past I KNOW that i could perform those exact steps (exchange
5.5+outlook 2000)

Please let me know how can I make that happan again using only the option to
publish to the public folder.

in the design-->action-->FW i made it Enabled but could not choose the form
from the public folder because there is not such an option....so thats why
the FW failes...
any help is welcome
TIA

Not if it's a message form and you don't want to include the form
definition. Think about it: In Step 4, how would Outlook running on User B's
know to go look in a particular public folder among possibly thousands to
get the form definition.

A message form needs to be published to the Organizational Forms library or
each user's Personal Forms library.

First -Thank you for the quick respond.

I did select "send form definition with item"
so why even after that User B can not FW it?

What is set for the form for the Forward action on the (Actions) tab? It
should be IPM.Note (aka Message).

it's IPM.Note.vacation
the strange thing is that i have 10 forms that used to work OK when the
exchange server was 5.5 and outlook 2000,
since we moved to exchange 2000, outlook 2003 the FW no longer work.

in the design, action, forwared - because i dont have the option to select
from the public folders i am writing "ipm.note.vacation" by hand, after that
i choose "check" but it does not find it...and the fw does not work.

I don't know why it used to work in the past but no longer,

please fo a little test as I described , publish a form to the public
folder, fw enabled...
with the option to send form with definition items...
than after you open it on user B
try to Forward and see if that works for you....

The difference is that Outlook 2003 made a major change in the operation of
the forms cache aimed at solviing long-time problems with forms cache
corruption. Forms published to folders are cached on a folder-by-folder
basis.

Try not changing the Forward action. If you leave it alone, Outlook will
create a forward item that uses the original item's form.
