Is it possible to detect when a another PC connects to a wireless network?

I'd like to create a log of how other PC's connect to a LAN via a wireless router. How can that be done? Is it possible via the router or monitoring software on a PC permanently connected to that LAN?

Any suggestions (with how to's and or software suggestions...) are appreciated.

There is a log that the router can do this already. However, it is usually
turned off and can only be schedule to email this log periodically.

If you have a secured wireless router, it might be interesting (if you
don't mind shedding light) on why you want to know this. I would think
being secured, especially with WPA2, you would only have known people
using the router.

Remember, only if feel you want to let it out. Sorry, this might
hedge on being nosy.

I can't get XP, Vista and the print server to all talk with encrypted wifi so I disabled it. As our nearest neighbors are at least 1000ft away this didn't seem and issue. Until I noticed someone else's PC in "my network". I've wired the LAN now but would like to turn wifi on for the occasional guest. And being wifi challenged, screw the encryption. So when wifi's enabled it would be nice to have some warning whenever a PC shows up in "my networks"

I can only guess about the print spooler. I know how pc's work, and I
too was a bit intimidated when I first did my first router, but I've
never seen a spooler so I can only guess on that. I've seen some
brands of wireless cards that are not user friendly and don't have the
same options I have on my pc/router.

Good luck.
