Hi,

I have some contact information stored on BCM and I wish to convert it to Outlook contact and stop using BCM.

Is it possible?

Many thanks in advance.

Have you tried dragging a BCM contact to your Contacts folder?

FYI, there is a separate newsgroup for BCM issues -- microsoft.public.outlook.bcm

Hello,

This is just an update, and it works as you suggested.

Amazing although I don't have a clue why it works :)

It works because they're both Outlook contacts, just displayed with different forms.

Sue, I've noticed you have a book or two. I want to learn how to customise Outlook and other office products so I'm guessing your book is a place to start.

I have had a new turn of faith this year, I was beginning to get bored of working in IT and then I had an idea of mastering Office 2003 and taking on a new challenge... I want to start with Outlook and fully exploit the BCM and was hoping I could convert the MSDE database into a MS SQL Express 2005 version and be able to add custom fields and link to it from web apps, etc. Do you know if this is possible? At the moment, we don't have Exchange.

Thanks for any tips...

Yes, you can just drag the BCM contacts to the Outlook Contacts folder and
they will move. If you right click and drag, you can choose to copy them.

Thanks,
Lon
