is it possible to control a winxp-prof-machine via remotedesktop and direct on the screen simultanio

Hello People!
I have got the folling question:
I use a WinXP-Professional-PC in a network of six computers and I have
created two users, both wirh administrator rights.
The first is for a login via remotedesktop and the other ist for the login
on this machine directly because I have installed a different set of
programs for each user.
And now I have the following problem:
When I login the same user directly on the machine and via the
remotedesktop, the computer kicks off the user login directly, jumps back to
the loginscreen and shows, that the user is in use with some programs
opened. And I use the remotedesktop on my laptop and everything functions.
So far, so ok.
But now I thought I could perhaps use the user for the remotedesktop
simultaniously I am logged in directly on the machine via the other user for
the direct login.
But this doesn't function. The Machine always jumps back to the login
screen, even if I use different users for the screen login and the
remotedesktop.
So for me's the question if it is possible anyhow to login directly to the
screen via the direct login user and use remotedesktop with the
remotedesktop user from another computer without switching the computer back
to the login-screen.
It seems as if two user are logged in simultaniously. So the Problem should
not be that WinXP Prof. won't be able to manage more logged-in users
simultaniously. I think the problem is to display a screen simultaniously
via remotedesktop and the monitor directly.
Is that correct and is there a way to use it as I want it to go?
Greetings from Brunswick, Germany,
Matthias
