It's been years since I looked at this issue but I think the answer is no.
RTF(ver 3 and later of the MS Library) support CFM_HIDDEN. But if I
understand correctly, this attribute is for output only and the MS Control
will still display the CFM_HIDDEN text.
If you Google for CFM_HIDDEN you will find many threads on this issue.
